Successful long-term results in oral implantology rely on a solid treatment plan and the application of rational surgical and prosthetic concepts. Prosthetically driven implant dentistry is crucial to long term success, especially in complex implant cases; edentulous implant prosthetic treatments may be considerably more challenging to accomplish when compared to partial edentulism cases. Besides conventional treatment protocols, guided implantology integrates the digital transition in dentistry. Its accuracy and predictability highlights digital implantology as an indispensable instrument for the contemporary clinical practice. This lecture aims to empower the implant rehabilitation team with contemporary safe and reproducible conventional and digital concepts for optimal prosthetic long-term results in treating complex edentulous cases.
