Prosthetics on implants and prosthetics on teeth – do we follow the same rules and techniques? What are the differences? How to decide which abutment should be selected? When is the ideal time to load restorations? Satisfactory long-term results in dental implantology depend on a solid treatment plan and the reasonable use of surgical and prosthetic concepts. The variety of available new technologies and materials in implant prosthetics often complicate the decision-making process. The aim of this lecture is to provide a clinical guide to implant prosthetics, to explain different treatment options and how these reproducible and safe treatment concepts can be applied in daily clinical implantology.
