The dental implant treatment in the partially edentulous cases often presents the treatment team with extensive aesthetic and functional challenges. The treatment of the aesthetic zone in particular is usually associated with complex decision-making processes. Several decision criteria need to be considered, e.g. number of implants, implant position and angulation, as well as type of final restoration. Existing bone dimensions and need for augmentation of hard and soft tissue, on the other hand, often complicate the decision-making process. The problem of the provisional restoration can also be relatively complex in many instances. In complex cases, team planning occasionally makes perfect sense. In this way competencies will optimally bundle.
In the following case report a combination of analogue and digital diagnostics, bone augmentation to a limited extent, navigated implant surgery, various diagnostically valuable fixed temporary restorations up to definitive, high-quality all-ceramic CAD/CAM restorations are to be illustrated.
